The best and most beautiful things in the world, cannot be seen nor touched yet are felt in the heart.
Helen Keller
After housing the soul of my baby boy for 9months, then adapting to the new role the past 15weeks; there was no time I could put on when I would feel ready to return to sharing the practice of Yoga. The beauty of this practice, it waits for you.
Its all so different, yet so the same and it is the sharing that makes it so wholesome.
The initial post partum time is a delicate juncture for a new mother and whole family. A time of healing and transition, physically, emotionally, socially and psychologically.
Our modern society celebrates the ‘bounce back’ or the rush to do many activities, now part of our conditioning. Yet when you take time to slow down, especially in postpardum and the months to follow, you bestow many benefits on yourself and your baby, for short and long term health.
Nothing is perfect, nothing is permanent.
Yet it is also important to find balance in your days to allow life to flow, and feel the joys that we all deserve. What do you believe works for you? Are you feeling in or out of balance right now? How has the conditioning of our past affected that in the present?
When out of balance is it known that we slip into old habits or patterns that are deeply embedded through our conditioning. This could be a place of comfort or safety as a protection when we feel under threat to our ego.
Accepting all our unique experiences without judgement does take practice, yet with patience and gentleness, we do offer the time to heal.
Lets practice!
